Did you know Fiji has a dive site called Alice in Wonderland?
This dive site is located north of Fiji near Vanua Levu.
It is known as Alice in Wonderland because of the large mushroom found there, like the ones in the movie. These large mushroom-shaped corals underneath which you can often see small reef sharks. Upcurrent end has good flow and huge aggregations of reef fish and larger pelagic life.
The Purple Wall is located in Somosomo Strait, in Tavueni, Fiji.
It is covered with a solid wall of soft corals, coral trees sea fans and whip corals that are all various shades of purple, hence the site name.
With many small colourful tropical species of fish such as soldierfish, squirrelfish and many other reef fish. You will not be able to find any schools of fish here but youw ill get to see some giant parrotfish.
This is a soft coral lovers paradise and is quite simply breath taking.
This is Fiji’s best display of golden coral.Six spectacular coral heads covered with yellow soft coral from top to bottom. Even the walls and roofs of every tunnel are covered with yellow soft coral.
Many fusiliers, thousands or orange and purple anthias, unicorn fish, schools of sergent majors, and some varieties of parrot fish, all conspire to shield the reef from the diver’s view. This reef is moe like a fish soup.
Location : Thakau Vatu Latha (Sail Rock Reef), 10 minutes northwest of Nananu-i-Ra.
