Golden Dream Reef

This is a soft coral lovers paradise and is quite simply breath taking.

This is Fiji’s best display of golden coral.Six spectacular coral heads covered with yellow soft coral from top to bottom. Even the walls and roofs of every tunnel are covered with yellow soft coral.

Many fusiliers, thousands or orange and purple anthias, unicorn fish, schools of sergent majors, and some varieties of parrot fish, all conspire to shield the reef from the diver’s view. This reef is moe like a fish soup.

Location : Thakau Vatu Latha (Sail Rock Reef), 10 minutes northwest of Nananu-i-Ra.

Depth of 18-35 meaters.

Jellyfish

Jellyfish also know as jellies or sea jellies can be found in every ocean. There are few dangerous box jellyfish like the ones on the Australian Coast but they aren’t common in the Fiji waters so rest be assured that they wont do you harm.

They are considered a delicacy in countries like Japan and do not possess any heart, brain or bones. They are very primitive creatures but they have “sight” though its a mystery how they can process the information from their “sight”. Another interesting fact about these facinating creatures is that their body is 95% water.
