A WARM WATER INVITATION TO
TOURISM FIJI’S DIVE FIESTA 2010

ourism Fiji, Air Pacific and FIHTA Dive Committee are sponsoring the 7th annual Tourism Fiji Dive Fiesta from 22nd to 28th May 2010, promoting a week-long showcase event for worldwide dive and adventure wholesalers and media.

The ‘Dive Fiesta’ will highlight Fiji’s spectacular range of diving activities, destinations and natural resources. Annually this event tops the calendar as Fiji’s signature dive event.

This year sees a return to focus on Fiji’s north where Savusavu and Taveuni will be particularly highlighted. The lucky group of participants will travel to various resorts in Fiji’s northern zone and explore some of the most impressive dive locations that Fiji has to offer. There will be plenty to see in and out of the water and Fiji’s other great dive zones will have representation as well.

Tourism Fiji’s DiveMe representative Thomas Valentine expressed high optimism on the response to this year’s program. “We targeted many valued wholesalers who we have been strategically aligned with for some time, and they all are coming”.

He continued, “The wholesalers are excited not only about the about the Dive Fiesta itself, but also with the advanced interest their clients have

shown to replicate what they are about to absorb on their Fiji adventure”.

A highlight of the event is the FIHTA Dive Fiji EXPO hosted on Friday 28th May, 2010 at the Sonaisali Island Resort on Fiji’s main island of Viti Levu. Sponsored by the Fiji Islands Hotel and Tourism Association, the Dive Fiji Expo brings Buyers and Sellers together with 10 minute theatre style presentations by the Sellers and then capped off with an open floor trade show.

The Final Gala Dinner concludes the week long festivities and will feature internationally recognised speakers. The dinner is included in registration fees and will bring all the participants together for a final sendoff, Fiji style! It will surely be a memorable evening for all participants.

Mr. Valentine concluded, “Fiji’s Dive Fiesta is always heaps of under and above water fun and everyone just can’t wait for all the festivities to begin.”
