Tourism Fiji’s Australian Educational Succeeds

Tourism Fiji and the Fiji Rugby Union combined resources to promote Fiji during the high profile Scottish and Romanian legs of the IRB Sevens Tournament when the Fiji Digicel sevens rugby team sported the fijime.com logo on their jerseys.

The publicity gained a huge exposure for Fiji as a destination with 60 million viewers worldwide.

While the final result might have gone the opposition’s way in both matches, Tourism Fiji CEO Josefa Tuamoto said the very visible ‘Fiji me’ logo had proven a decisive winner for the national tourist office’s promotion of the destination.

“We know the world is watching every time our national squad walks onto the pitch,” he said.

“We are renowned for our fluid and exciting style of play, particularly our sevens team now is one of the most popular and successful teams in the history of the game”.

“The team regularly plays all over the world so what better way to promote Fiji to a huge international audience.”
