Ports of Entry

Situated in the hub of the Southwest Pacific, Fiji has become a major crossroad for shipping services between North America, Australia, New Zealand and between the regional South Pacific countries.

Fiji Ports Corporation Ltd is the Government-owned company which manages the two major ports of Suva and Lautoka, and the secondary ports of Levuka, Vuda, Malau, Rotuma and Wairiki.

Port of Suva

Suva – Fiji’s capital – contains the country’s largest and busiest port. Suva has a deep water harbour with road, communications and air link infrastructure of a high quality and standard comparable with Australia and New Zealand.

Port of Lautoka

Port of Lautoka is Fiji’s largest port for handling bulk cargo, specializing in bulk sugar, molasses, woodchips, petroleum, and gas. Lautoka services the shipping needs of Western Viti Levu and is the base for Fiji’s famed Blue Lagoon Cruises and Nai’a Cruises.

Port of Levuka

Port of Levuka is primarily a fishing port catering for fishing vessels which berth to supply Levuka’s Cannery, managed by PAFCO.

Port of Malau

Port of Malau is situated on the North Western side of Fiji’s second largest island, Vanua Levu, and is primarily a molasses port facility with deep water anchorage and berthing.

The port caters for bulk vessels which berth at Malau and caters for the Vanua Levu sugar cane farmers. The facility is a privately owned facility by Fiji Sugar Corporation but under the jurisdiction of FPCL under its Seaports Management Act.

Port of Wairiki

Port of Wairiki is located on the South Eastern side of Fiji’s second largest island, Vanua Levu. The Port was recently built and is primarily a woodchip Port for use by Fiji Pine to cater for the logging industry on Vanua Levu.
